SMS Messaging Terms & Compliance
- Program Description. This messaging program is operated by Sama Dermatology, PLLC. Patients and website visitors who book an appointment through our website at samadermatology.com or through our scheduling forms, and who explicitly opt in to receive SMS notifications, may receive text messages from us. Opt-in is collected via web forms with a dedicated checkbox for SMS consent. If you opt in, messages may include appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, scheduling updates, customer support communications, and occasional promotional messages.
- Message Frequency. Message frequency varies based on your appointment schedule and interactions with our practice, but messages are not sent frequently. Most patients can expect only a few messages per month, typically tied to upcoming appointments.
- Message & Data Rates. Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you. For questions about your text or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.
- Cancellation Instructions. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply reply STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will confirm your unsubscribe status via SMS, and you will no longer receive text messages from us. To rejoin, opt in again as you did initially, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.
- Support Instructions. If you experience issues with the messaging program, reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly at info@samadermatology.com.
- Carrier Liability. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported Carriers. Our SMS program works with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most regional carriers.
- Age Restriction. You must be 18 years or older to participate in our SMS program.
- A Note on Health Information. SMS text messaging is not a secure form of communication. Please do not send personal health information, photographs of medical conditions, or other sensitive information by text message. For health-related questions, please use our secure patient portal or contact us at info@samadermatology.com.
- Privacy Policy. For privacy-related inquiries, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
We comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines, regarding the use of SMS communications.
General Terms
This website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Sama Dermatology, PLLC (“Sama Dermatology,” “we,” or “us”). A physician–patient relationship with Sama Dermatology is established only after you complete our intake process and are accepted as a patient for telehealth services.

Telehealth Services
Sama Dermatology provides telehealth dermatology services to patients located in Illinois. Use of our telehealth services is subject to separate informed consent documentation provided during the intake process. Some conditions cannot be fully evaluated via telehealth and may require in-person evaluation, which we will communicate to you during your care.
Intellectual Property Rights
Our Limited License to You
This Site and all the materials available on the Site are the property of Sama Dermatology, PLLC and/or our affiliates or licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Site is provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
